UPDATE: More than 2,000 volunteers aged 2 to 90 participated in the year’s Waterway Cleanup, pitching in by land and more than 100 boats and collecting 15 tons of trash. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped keep our waterways clean – we look forward to seeing everyone next year on March 5, 2016!
Join us Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for the 39th Annual Waterway Cleanup!
The Annual Waterway Cleanup, organized by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida and Marine Industry Cares Foundation, is the county’s largest and longest-running environmental event. In 2014, nearly 1,700 volunteers of all ages by land and 70 boats worked at 30 locations across the county to remove 17.9 tons of trash and debris from our waterways, rivers and canals. You do not need a boat to participate!
